NASEBY NOTES.

Chir Naseby correspondent wires the Police Court yesterday William Hore, butcher, Naseby, was charged on five separate informations under the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900. On the first—allowing swine to wander within fifty yards of the was convicted, and fined £1 and costs, and his license was ordered to be endorsed. On the second charge—of feeding swine on unboiled offal—he was fined 10s and costs; and on the third, fourth, and fifth—for allowing offal, filth, and refuse to remain in the slaughter-house for more than twenty-four hours—he was fined 7s and costs, Is. Thomas Healey, charged under the Stock Act with exposing for sale sheep affected with lice, was convicted, and fined £2, with court costs (7s) and solicitor's fee (£1 Is). Mr J. R. Kirk appeared for the prosecuting department in all the cases. Curling and bonspie! will be held on Thursday and Friday of this week.
