Miss Nellie Black. wL Ts always pleasing to listen to, was very much in evidence, all her contributions being given with marked success. Miss Black further contributed to the night’s enjoyment by taking part with the head of the family in two comic sketches. The family, who form a very capable orchestra, played' several selections, which were warmly received. A mandoline quartet of popular airs was also another item which came in for its fair share of applause. Mr Bertie Black played n comet solo, ‘ Anchored,’ very creditably, andTater on he amused the audience by abstracting music from a number of articles commonly used for household purposes. Mr Black himself sang two humorous songs, which created a good deal of merriment. Miss Elsie Black, one of the younger members of the family, played a flute solo, besides assisting as accompanist. She was also seen in a Spanish dance. Mr R. Bryant’s items were 1 Out on the deep ’ and ‘ The storm fiend,’ both of which were encored.
