At last night’s meeting of the Northeast Valley Borough Council the subject of the tramway route coins through the Gardens was revived. Cr Short moved that a Snblic meeting should be called in the lorth-eost Valley to Urge the City Council to again endeavor to got the sanction of Parliament to have the tram lino carried through the Gardens. Cr Short said that he had seen Mr Thomas Mackenzie, who was averse to the line going through the Gardens, bnt would support the project if the line could be made to hug the creek without interfering with the Gardens. A majority of the residents of the Valley, said Cr Short, were in favor of the proposal, as they believed that unless it were carried out the present Valley service would bo of little worth.
