ALIEN IMMIGRANTS.
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, May 22. With regard to the Maoris brought to Sydnc-y as members of a circus troupe, the decision admitting them was by the Collector of Cnstoms, and not by the Department of Internal Affiirs. If the Maoris had come with the intention of residing in Austialia, Sir E. Barton says that' he should have had to consider whether they could be admitted. He had not yet had to deal with any such application from Maoris.
