MAORI LANDS.
AUCKLAND, May 22. Mahuta met the Governor and Ministers at Government House. About 300 Maoris were present. Speeches were made by the Premier, Mahuta, and chiefs as to agreeing to the Waikato lands coming under the Native Lands Council.
It is definitely settled that Mahuta will be called to the Upper House.
