'Our Own" wires from Nelson:—Mr T, E. Donne, Superintendent of the Tourist Department, aompanied by Messrs Piingle and Cowan, is in. Nelson on departmental business- en route .to the West Coast. The party spent two days on Pelorus Sound, on the way from Pictoh.and camped one night in Maniaroa Bay. Mr Donne onsiders Pelorus Sonnd will mdjce an excellent tourist route, but regrets to see that numerous bu3h fires are fast destroying native bush on the surrounding hills. He is 'spying out the land in the interest of tourist"traffic.
