Mails close at the Chief Post Office, D«nedic, subject to any necessary alterationa, m under:— Overland. North, daily, 10.20 ».m. LaU letters, 10.45; also on the mail Tan up to 11 a-m. Books and newspapers, 10 a.m. Late-fee letters must bear,-in addition te the ordinary postage, Id. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian States (except Tasmania), per Warrimoo, at 2 p.m. Money orders and registered letters close at 1 p.m. Mails for Australian States, Ceylon, Chjna, India, Continent of Europe, and United Kingdom, etc, -will close at Wellington on the 4th at 11 ajn. Mail for Hongkong, per Selsdon, will close at Wellington on the Ist October at 1 p.m. Mails for the Chatham Islands close at Lyttelton on the Ist October at 8 p.m. Mails for Cape Town and Sooth Africa, 'per Suevic, will close at Sydney on the Ist October The Paparoa will leave Wellington for London via Monte Video and Teneriffe on the 4th October. Correspondence, specially addressed, will close at this office on Thursday, 2nd, at 2 p.m. Parcels for the United Kingdom, etc., close at 9.30 a.m. • E. Cook. Chief Postmaster.
