STOCK SALES. SYDNEY, September 25.—At the Homebush sales New Zealand sheep met with a steady sale at improved prices. Shorn realised 16s 3d to 265; in the wool, 24s 9d to o4s. In cattle there was a moderate decline. New Zealands were not equal to late shipments, having been bruised during tinrough voyage. Cows ranged from £l4 10s to £l4 12s 6d; bullocks, £ls 5s to £l9. Tbe Christchurch Meat Company are making extensive additions to the Smithfield Freezing Works, which will have the effect of increasing the capacity of the works generally from 4,000 per “day to between 5,000 and 6,000. The additions will be completed by the end of the yehr.
