Some time ago the Waipawa. volunteers decided to disband in consequence of the difficulty of keeping the corps to the minimum strength, and voted the greater part of their foods to a public object. It has now been decided to re-form, and the company has been ‘brought nearly to the maximum number. Lieutenant Collett, of the Third and Eighth Contingents, has been elected captain. The Loveday brothers, two of the New Zealand representatives at the Birisy meeting, returned by the Mokoia to-day, They state that the wretched weather affected the New Zealanders’ shooting, and that oir every occasion the weather was fine onr representatives shot remarkably well. The Premier promised them to send another team next year.

PALMERSTON NORTH. September 25. The Terrace End School Committee have decided to request Mr Pirani, M.H.R , and Mr W. T.
