MASONIC BALL.
Hie combined -Masonic ball, held last night in the Agricultural Hall, was a distinct success, being probably one of the bast functions of the kind held in Dunedin for some years. The large ball was tastefully decorated, and being well lighted showed off to advantage the many beautiful dresses of the ladies and the regalia and jewels of the brethren. Some 115 conples joined in the grand march, led by members of the Committee, then the Grand Lodge and brethren in regalia. The gallery was filled with friends of the dancers anxious to witness the brilliant scene. The catering was entrusted to the Misses Murray, who utilised the Victoria Hall as a snpper non. The music was supplied by Reid’s Band. Dancing was kept up till 3 a.m. The following gentlemen filled the position of M.C.S!—Messrs P. Aitken (chairman of Committee), G. Ritchie, D. Cooke. G. Crow, F. A. Ful'on, R. Wilkinson, W. G. Somerville, T. Ross, J. T. Laing, B. Jay, H Moss, and W. G. Wohlman. It is pro bable that a Masonic ball will now become an annual fixture.
