A despatch from Honolulu tells the story of a real Japanese Eobnson Crusoe, who lived for seventeen years on a deserted island near Gensan, of Corea. The man hadjjeen so long without companionship that he was reduced to imbecility. His hair and heard were long and unkempt, and he bad almost lost the power of speech. He had been caafc away on the island seventeen yean ago, and had subsisted since that time on seaweed and fish; living in a cave.
