AM I MY BROTHER'S KEEPER?
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —it seems to me that we in tins part of His Majesty’s dominions are tried to be dominated by a few as bo tho manner in which we are) to "coronate” or “jubilate” Kiug Edward’s accession to the throne. Is there another city in tho Empire that has made such q “ fuss” over the matter as to how and what we shall drink to his health? Because a few young men overstepped the mark on Peace Day, is that to say (list we who can take care of ourselves will have to go to the Corporation cold-water tap to imbibe? Not much. It might be advisable for the Council of Churches to cable our Premier—who has more than a J.P.s “ weight ” advising him that the King and all his subjects should not take anything stronger on Coronation Day than what they in the Clutha are accustomed to—namely, llor Beek. June 19.
