THE SEVENTH CONTINGENT
AUCKLAND, June 20. Mr Witheford has wired to Sir J. G. Ward asking that the returning Seventh Contingent should land at Auckland, there being seventy Aucklanders among them, to avoid the change to the more severe cold of the Southern ports. Sir J. G. Ward has replied to Mr Witheford that the troopship with the Seventh has already left Sydney.
