The Southern St.irr-Bowkett Society held & meeting last evening for the purpose of appropriating £SOO by ballot and £SOO by sale by tender. The bal’ot resulted in ball No. 120 being drawn, the shares in the cluster being held by two members. At the sale a premium of £l6 was obtained. THE NATIONAL BANK. WELLINGTON, June 20.—Tlie general manager of the National Bank of New Zealard has been advised that the annual report for March, 1902, will be presented to the shareholders at a meeting at London on the Ist July. The directors recommend that a dividend of 8 per cent he declared, and a bonus of 2 per cent., making a dividend of 10 per cent, for the year; that £40,000 be transferred to the reserve fund, which will then stand at £150,000; and that £8,200 be carried forward to the current year. The sum 6f £5,000 has been applied in reduction of the Bank premises, and £1,600 added to the officers’ pension fund.
