For some years Mr Somers, a district councillor of Johnstown, County Wexford, lias been sleeping on a small gold-mine. He did not know it, however. The other day he gave away a mattress to a poor aborer, and on the mattress being forced hrough the narrow door of the uiboret*! house it. was tom, and oat dropped a silk handkerchief, containing £390 in fold. The money was returned.
