THE 'PRESS' CORONATION NUMBER.

The Weekly Press' special Connadon number is a highly artistic production. lit* cover, richly adorned with gold, has, a* ceutrepiece, portraits of their Majesties King Edward and Queen Alexandra in medallions surmounted by the Imperial Crow and a representative of the Coronation robe. Underneath are the arms of Great Britain; above are the coats of anna of Canada, Australia, South Africa, and India. At the base are views of Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle, and our own Mount EgmonL The medallions of their Majesties are embellished with representations of the Rose, Shamrock, Leek, and Thistle, the Royal Standard, the Union Jack, the Admiralty Standard, and tbsNsnr Zealand Flag. Eight colors, beside the gold, have gone to the litnographing of this sumptuous design, The number thus covered contains a great many finely-executed half-tone engravings illustrative of what would be seen by anyone "in London for the Coronation," together with a number of most interesting portraits; and the letterpress will be found remarkably readable and informing. With the number is given a splendid colored supplement, presenting fulllength portraits of their Majesties in robes of State. This is lithographed jx eight colors, and measures 25in by 20in, and there is no doubt it will be very extensively framed. The whole number is a souvenir of the great event which deserves to find a place in every New Zealand home, and as a proof of what can be done in the way of illustrated journalism in New Zealand at the date of King Edward VlL's Coronation, it should be of great interest to friends in the Old Country. Judging by the steady flow of orders from all parts of the colony since the special Coronation number was first announced, it is safe to say that very shortly after publication conies will be at * premium.
