Mr Chamberlain entertains the visiting Premiers at dinner and at an evening party on the 24th inst.' The Prince of Wales gives a dinner on the 26th. The Natal Carbineers were on sentry duty at the Hotel Cecil yesterday, and the New Zealanders to-day. The other colonial contingents will hereafter act in rotation. The Hon. W. P. Reeves invited 800 guests to a reception at the Imperial Institute to meet Mr Seddon. These included Mr Chamberlain, Sir John Anderson, the Agents-General, Sir Robert Herbert, and Rev. Harold Anson and wife, Sir Walter Buller, Sir Westby Perceval, Mr George Beetham and wife, Colonels Cradock, Porter, Sommerville, and Madocks, Sir Charles Dilke, Ladies Douglas, Daniel, and Vogel, Sir James Fergusson, the Earl and Countess of Glasgow, Mr and Mrs Cowper Robinson, Sir Frederick and Lady Young. QUEENSLAND REMITS SENTENCES. BRISBANE, June 17. The Cabinet will mark the Coronation by a remission cf sentences on a number of prisoners. CLERGYMEN AT LOGGERHEADS. GREYMOUTH, June 18. The Coronation celebrations, so far as the' religious part of the programme is concerned, are not likely to be a success, the clergymen disagreeing amongst themselves.
