OUR RETURNED TROOPERS.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —May I suggest that, to partly make up for our seglect on Peace Day of the members of the various contingents from the seat of 'ear, that pride of place be given them and every honor accorded them on Coronation Day by those in charge of affairs? I see by to-night’s ‘Star’ that returned ontingenter.s arc requested to notify the authorities if they intend taking part in the local celebrations, so that they may arrive approximately at the numbers expected. The members of the local Hussars and others might also be asked to place their horses at the disposal of the’ 4 men. who, in the procession, might be arranged in the order of their service in South Africa, the officer in charge of each represented contingent to have a figure on his horse denoting the number thereof.—l am, etc.. Forget Them Not. Juno 16.
