At last meeting of the Otago Rowing Association it was unanimously decided io hold the Association’s annual regatta at Waihola on Easter Saturday. There was a consensus of opinion amongst the delegates that this year’s regatta should be made as popular as possible, and to further the idea it was decided to accept with pleasure the Swimming Club’s offer to provide a series of swimming races and water sports, including the ever-popular greasy pole. These events are to be sandwiched between the various rowing races, in order that spectiitors may always have something going to amuse them. The Railway Department is doing its utmost to promote the success of the regatta by very low fares and fast special trams; and the Messrs Paterson Bros., Waihola, intend making a special effort to cater for all visitors.
