PICNICS.

THK DRAPERS. The diapers' fourth annual picnio took place at Outram yesterday. About 450 people went bv special tram. The outmg proved highly enjoyable, and. owing to the excellent arrangements made, everything went off welL The Committee were Messrs Glass (chairman), Casey, Robertson. Coxhead. M'Gregor, Mason, Martin, Barnefct, and T. Low (secretary)- A scratch band discoursed music during the day, and the usual sports were indulged in. The delightful weather contributed in no small degree to the success of the picnic The party returned to town about eight o'clock.

MOP.NINGTON SCHOOL. Th« above school enjoyed their annual picnic at Evansdale yesterday, and hud the best of -weather. In spite of strong counter attractions it was well attended. The Committee were represented by Messrs H. A. Reynolds (chairman), Dickson, Harvey, Ford, and Simon. About 300 or 400 went out by special train. Evausdale was pronounced an ideal spot for a school outing. The swings were much appreciated by the little ones, and tie sports proved a great success. Toys were liberally distributed. The party returned to town shortly before eight o'clock.
