EVANGELIST FARNSWORTH.

Evangelist Farnsworth resumed bis Rutt dav evening addresses in the Agricultural Hall last evening. His theme was ‘ Christ as Creator and Redeemer.’ Several passages were read and briefly commented upon, showing the pre-existence of Christ, and that He was the active agent in the creation of the worlds. That creation, which was pronounced to be “ very good," was marred and blighted by the curse of gin. Redemption is simply a continuation of the eternal purpose of God in creation. He who said in the beginning “Let there be light,” and light was, is still sayine “Let there be light" in hearts darkened hv sin and unhfdief. and the marvellous transformations of character that are taking place shows that the day of miracle* has not passed away. ■ “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in tiio lace of Jesus CLrist. Rut we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." The speaker emphasised the fact that He who has the power to recreate, also has power to keep every soul who trusts Him fully. At the dose of the service it was announced that Evangelist Farnsworth would speak in the Victoria Hall on Wednesday and Friday evenings of this week.
