LATE MINING.
A Wellington message states that He Premier dredge’s (Duller) return is 360z lOdwfc of retorted gold at last week’s washing up. The Enfield report 18oz 13dwt for the week. The Happy Valley should be 13oz lOdwt for 100 hours, and not 19nz 12dwt, as reported in another place. The Nelson Creek report 290z for 112 hours. The Coal Creek Flat Company s dredge washed up on Friday for 6oz 9dwt for about sixty-four hours’ working of old ground. The result is regarded by the directors as satisfactory, and they are confident that when the paddock is opened out (a work that will take about a fortnight) and the dredge gets into the solid ground, good returns will be secured.
