Id. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11. For Northern Ports.—Per Elingamite, at 4 p.m. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19. For Northern Ports, Samoa, Sandwich Islands, Japan, Philippine Islands, United States of America, Canada, South America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, at 10 a.m. Money orders close at 4 p.m. on tho 18th. Parcels for the United States close at 9.30 a.m; on the 18th. Book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. The above mail will close at the branch post offices, North Dunedin and South Dunedin, Caveraham, and Roslyn—for money orders and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 18th, letters at 9.30 a.m. on the 19th, and newspapers at midnight on the 18th. At the Port Chalmers office at 8.45 a.m. on the 19th, money orders at 4 p.m., registered letters at 5 p.m. on tho 18th. Due in I.nndon 22nd March. NOTE. The public are reminded that the post,gc on newspapers for the United Kingdom, Queensland, and foreign countries is Id for the first 4oz, and for each additional 2oz ; and unless newspapers are fully prepaid the department cannot guarantee to forward them by the quickest routes. Mail for the Chatham Islands close at Lyttelton on the 11th, at 8 pjn. Mails for Cromarty, Puysegur Point, and Te Oneroa will close at Invercargill on the 13th, at 3.30 p.m. Mails for Rarotonga and Tahiti close at Auckland on the 26th, at 11 a.m. Mails for Fiji close at Auckland on the 26th, at 11 a.m. Mails close at Sydney for Noumea and Fiji on the 26th.
