AN ODE TO THE SMALLPOX

When you ramo to town some months ago I was advised of your arrival By the public prints, And it did not move me. The other week I read an article in the ‘ Times ’ Wherein vaccination was extolled; 1 did not get vaccinated, I havo run up against a largo number of persons With red tape round tbeir arms, And I remain unvaccinated. For all that I am beginning to consider my position Very seriously. I am informed by my favorite evening paper (Needless to say I mean the ‘ Star ’) That when a man takes up with you, Society shows him no mercy; Vans are brought round at once, And he is hurried away from all Tliat he bolds dear To some confounded ship or other In the middle of the Thames, He may come back; On the other hand, be may not——‘The Outlook.’
