GREETINGS.
The secretary of the Dnnedin Bums Ctab has received a card conveying centenary greetings from the Greenock Burns dub, whkh was instituted in January, 1802. The president is the Hon. Sir James Svenght, K.C.M.G., and the centenary - meeting wa* held last month. The following verses are inscribed on the card: Lost, stolen, a banner year O’ crack and sang and couthie cheer; But, by my weel-theeft bearer, PH taf an oath, ’tween you and me, Ton birkee wi’ the sleepless e’e, The scythe, and sand-glass running free Auld Father 'Erne's the reiver! Run, run your hardest, mild grey man, The years o’ crowded ages span; Thou’rt fleet o’ foot and clever. But still shall Bobin’s matchless fame, l%e dear auld sangs o’ lore and bams, The undim’d glory cf fan name, Keep paw wf you fororer.-
