The ‘Tuapeka Times’ supplies these items:—The last return of ‘tSe Golden Crescent Company, at Wetherstones —viz., 340z lOdwt—was the first wash-up out of the present paddock, and represented the result of eleven days’ sluidng.~The directors of the Reliance Dredging Company report that the first weekly return was made on the 22nd April last, the total yield of gold from that date to 31st January (a period of nine months) being 7350z 2dwt Igr, of the value of £2,830 Js Bd. On starting operations the company were indebted about £I,OOO, which has been cleared off, and a first dividend of Is per share was declared last December. —A serious stripping of the Waitahuca Gully dredge has taken place since she closed down—pin«, oil cups, tools, fireirons, and links having been removed. —Mr Robert Montgomery, lately in the employ of the Lawrence Dredging Company at Tuapeka Flat, has proceeded to Brazil under engagement to a dredging syndicate in that locality. _____________
