COMMERCIAL.
The stock returns for New South Wales on January 1 show an increase of cattle for the year of 39,187 head, and sheep of 1,335,627. Horses decreased by 3,217 head, the latter being due to the largo exportations. A London cable says that the bank rate is 3 per cent.
