Acting on medical advice, Mr Walter Hislop (of the Perpetual Trustees Company) wUI on an early date take a trip to the O'd Country. We share the wishes of Mr ' Hislop's ma"- friends in Otago that a long rest and change of scene will be the means of restoring him to his wonted health. The Oamaru Presbytery yesterday sanctioned the call to the Rev. J. U. Spence from Otepopo and Kakanui, and fixed the 19th inst. for the moderation. Oamaru's quota to the Seventh Contingent : Thomas Turner (Waitaki Mounted Rifles), A. E. Smith (Queen's Rifles, Oamaru), J. R. Doig (Seventh Contingent, WaJmate), W, P.ule (Queen's Rifles, Oamaru), H. T. Rodgers (Permanent Militia, Oamaru), Charles Phillips (no previous service, Island Cliff), James O. Wilson (no previous service, Hokitika), W. Lee (Oamaru Rifles, Oamaru), W. Edwards (no previous service, Oamaru), and G. Odey fuo previous service, Oamaru). Miss Busch is a passenger by the German liner Bremen, and is expected to reach Dunedin at the end of the current month.
