MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
The weekly meeting of the rioneer of Dunedin lx>dge, 1.0. G.T., was held in the Lower Choral Hn.ll on Tuesday evening, when there was a good attendance. Bro. Beattie. Waikoikoi Lodge, conveyed the fraternal greetings of his lodge and district. Bro. Innes, D.C.T., gave an account of the proceedings of the recent district lodge meeting. It was agreed to pay an official visit to the Hope of Dunedin Lodge. Arrangements were made for the cricket match with the Alliance team. Harmony was contributed: Piano solo, Sis. Hiustic; songs, Bros. Robertson. Tily, and Mackie. A vote of thanks was accorded the visitors and performers, and responded to by Bros. Marratt (Alliance). Austin (Lily), Tily (Hope of Cavershnm), and Beattie (Waikoikoi Lodge). The Lily of the Valley Lodge, 1.0. G.T., held their weekly meeting on Momlay night, Bro. R. M'Kinlay, C.T., presiding. Two candidates were initiated. Harmony * was contributed by the following : —Bro. M'Connell (song), Sis. Smith (song), Bro. Mills (recitation), and Bro. Hislop (song). Bro. Campbell (Evergreen Lodge, Green Island) responded for the visitors. The Evergreen Lodge of Good Templars, together with ex-members and friends, held an "at home" in the P.A. Hall, Green Island, on Tuesday evening, which proved most successful. The large, hall was well filled. Bro. W. M'Caughan, C.T., presided. A well-arranged programme opened with an overture by Sis. A. M'Lean, after which parlor games were indulged in. The following contributed items:—Sis. 0. Owens, Bro. J. Jury, Sis. E. Govan, Sis. M. Hitl (songs). Sis. A. M'Lean and Sis. E. Hill were the accompanists.
