SUDDEN DEATHS.
Daniel M. Dennison died suddenly this morning at bis residence, Bathgate street, South Dnnedin. He left his nouse at a quarter past seven to go to his work at the Government Workshops, at HflMde, -where he was employed as a machinist, but had only gone a few yards along the street when he staggered, and fell against the fence, to which he held to keep himself from falling to the ground. A mate named Hickinbottom came up to see what was wrong, and Dennison complained of pains in the region of the heart. He was taken home, and Dr Evans immediately summoned. Before the latter could arrive, however, Dennison had expired. He was forty-three years of age, and had a wife family. An inquest was being held this afternoon, Sergeant Conn representing the police. French Whitaker was found dead at eight o'clock this morning in his hut at Halfway House, near Clyde. No cause is assigned for the death. An inquest will probably be held.
