Late letters, 10.45; also on the mail van up to 11 a.m. Books and newspapers, 10 aun. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30. For Australian States (via Hobart) India, China, Straits Settlements, South Africa, Mauritius, Mediterranean Ports Continent of Europe, United Kingdom' etc. (due in London November 10), also Fiji, Hawaiian Islands, Canada, United States of America (to connect with the Vancouver steamer at Sydney), at 8 a.m. Late letters, South express, 9".5 a.m. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1. __ For Northern Ports, per Rotomahana, at o p.m. Mails for the Chatham Islands close at Lyttelton on the Ist October, at 8 pjn. Mails for Natal and Cape Town, Yarrawonga, Ist October, from Sydney; for Natal and Cape Town, per Sophocles, from Melbourne, 16th October. On and after October 1 the following post offices will be opened:—Kawarau Bridge Cromwell district; Hamilton Sonth. ota<r O Central. ' ° Edmd. Cook, Chief Postmaster.
