PERSONAL.
The Duke of Connanght has been appointed commander of the Third Army Corps at the Cnrragh. The Oamaru volunteers presented Colonel Webb with a pair of silver-mounted toilet brushes and a silver matchbox and sovereign case combined. The Rev. J. Gibb has been suffering somewhat from overwork of late, and, as a result, has run down considerably. Acting on medical advice, he will take a brief trip South. Mr Charles Haynes, we hear, is still far from well, and his condition is the cause .of some anxiety to his family and friends:
