LATE SHIPPING.

SAILED. —September 20. Te Anau, s.s., 1,028 tons, Lambert, far Auckland tia East Coast ports. Passengers: For Lyttelton—Messrs Bennett, Davidson, Keith, Glover, Jolly, ReunMt. For Wellington—Miss Pyke, Mesdames Howes, Irvine, Messrs M'Callnm and Irvine. For Auckland—Mrs Douglas and three_children, Master Rawson, Air Moseley ; and six steerage for all ports. Mr Madge, who was chief steward of the Rotomahana up to the time of her going out of commission, came from the North by the _Te Anau yesterday to resume bis old position on the former vessel, and get things ready in the victualing department by the time she leaves for Sydney via East Coast ports on. October 1. It is understood the Rotomahana will make a trial of speed early next week for the purpose of testing her machinery. Air Dunlop is again in charge of the engine department. The Hauroto, from Auckland and the South Sea Islands, arrived at Sydney this morning. The Moura, from Southern ports, arrived at Auckland at 10 u.m. yesterday, and returns by the same route at noon to-mor-row. The Upolu, from Southern ports, arrived at Lyttelton at one this afternoon, and sails "at 8 p.m. for Northern ports. The dredge Progress made another start from Oamaru at ten this morning for Port Chalmers for docldng and overhaul. AUSTRALIAN WEATHER REPORT. ALBANY, September 19.—Wind, W.; bar., 29.9; fine. The Tarawera, from Sydney and Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at eleven this morning, and 'sailed at 4 p.m. for Dunedin.
