Press Anociation—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 17. (Received September 18, at 11.57 a.m.) The wool sales opened strong with a 5 to per cent, advance on last sales' rates. The Nat-'onal Mortgage and Agency Company have received cable advice from their London office advising that the. wool. sales' opened at an average advance of 7£ per cent, on mtrino of all descriptions, and an avrnge advance of 5 per cent, on crossbrd fn»«t descriptions. The sales also opened firm on par with last sale's average n>te< for cross-bred medium and coarse descriptions.
