A PIONEER'S FUNERAL.
This afternoon, despite the snow and rain, a. large number of settlers and citizens attended the funeral of the lato Mr A. J. Burns. The Rev. W. Bannerman conducted the service at the house in Keriot row and ( then went with the other mourners to the grave in the Southern Cemetery. Amongst others who followed were the Rev W \V?P the Eev. R. R. M. Sutherland, the Rev. J M. M'Kerrow. Dr Gordon Macdouald, Co.onel Robin, Professor Gilrav, and Messrs John Reid, A. Michie, A. H/Hevcock R Oh.sholm, J. J. Ramrar, \V. Dallas G* \ Rende, J. Wardell, H. Shrimntou, D. Hood' A. Suc air, M. Cohen, J. Mo l.son. R \ Aitl ken, James Hutchison, R, A. Lawson J Moncrieff, W. Wilson, J. Muir, D. NiW, J. B. Thomson, J. M'Gill, D. Bacon„W L. Hooper, J. R. Sinclair, A. M'Kcnow. t *c™!! r Job Wain > A - Thomson, James Smith, W. Nicolson, J. A HisW •George Roberts, and G. Calder. The MoV Kiel Wooilen Company were represented bv Sir E. B. Cargill, Mr J. Dryden, Mess/s Cameron, Nicokon, and the foreman of iho mill.
