.Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Don:iin, subject to any necessary alterations, is under: Overland, North, daily, 10.20 a.m. Late "Itttterx, 10.45; also on the mail van up to 11 a.m. Books and newspapers, 10 a,m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage, Id. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19. For Lyttelton and Christchurch.—Per Burrumbect, at 1.30 p.m. Mails for the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, per Whakatane via Monte Video and Teneriffe, will close at Wellington on the 21st-at 10 a.m. Correspondence to be specially addressed. Mails for Cromarty, Puysegur Point, and Te Oneroa will close at Invercargill on the 19th at 4 p.m. Mails for Fiji close at Auckland on the 21st, at 11 a.m. Mails from Sydney for Natal and Cape Town, per Australian, September 24; for Natal and Cape Town, Yarrawonga, Ist October, from Sydney. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji close at Auckland on the 25th. For Natal and Cape Town.—-Per Medic, from Melbourne, 27th. Edmd. Cook, Chief Postmaster.
