PERSONAL.
At Wain’s Hotel on Tuesday evening some members of U\e Kaituna Bowling Club met for the purpose of congratulating Mr G. T. Paterson on the eve of his silver wedding, Mr R. BL Coltman, on behalf of those present, handed to Mr Paterson a handsome solid silver afternoon tea set, bearing the following inscription Presented to Mi and Mrs C. T. Paterson on the occasion of their silver wedding, 11th July, 1901, by a few Kaituna bowlers,” and referred to Mr Paterson’s good points as a bowler and the keen interest ho had always taken in the Kaituna Club. Mr Paterson assured the members present that the handsome present he had just received from them would always be treasured both by Mrs Paterson and himself. The health of Mr and Mrs Paterson was drunk, and a very pleasant evening afterwards spent. The local representative of the New Zealand Accountants and Auditors’ Association (Mr T. H. Thompson) informs ua that during the year the following have become fellows of the Association:—Messrs Geo. Blyth, Thos. Chalmer, T. S. Graham, W. T. Monkman, Robert M'Culloch, and 6. H. Statham.
