EVANGELISTIC MISSION.

Mr and Mrs W. M. Ostia, who are to arrive iu Dunedin on Saturday-to conduct an evangelistic mission, are sent out by the National Council of Y.M.CA.s in London as a deputation to la'l’a and to Australasia. The object of their tour is to strengthen existing associations for young men and yonng women, and to seek to estate lish new associations where opportunity offers. They have already visited India and Australia, with gcod.results. In Hobart the Y.W.C.A. were so much helped by their meetings that sufficient aid financially has bpen received to cover three years 1 expenses. Iu Wellington a strong Y.M.C.A. has been formed under the guidance of leading buaincsi men, and a trained • secretary Is expected from Australia for the work. Through Mr Oatts’a visit to Australia it has been arranged to eet Mr Virgo free from bis work as secretary of the Adelaide Association to act as '^ Ve^’ D KBco. 8 Co. in those parts. MrOattsis an effective speaker, with a long experience iu Christian work in Glasgow, where he has built up a strong Y.M.C. A. and branches. He is greatly helped by Mrs Gilts, who is a talented singer. She has been prominent in the work of the Y. W.C.A., and special meetings under the local Association are being arranged for her. They will begin their mission by a special meeting in the Garrison Hall on Sunday evening.
