THE NOBLE SIX HUNDRED.
A veteran named Benjamin Horton recently died in tho workhouse at Wolverhampton at the age of 'seventy-five. As a member of the 17th Lancers Horton fought for his country in the Crimea, and was one of the gallant band of Six Hundred who made the historic charge of the Light Brigade at B&laciava. He saw considerable service during those starring times, and acted as an orderly to General Codrington. Subsequently the deceased was bought out of the army, and for the last ten years of his life had been an inmate of the Wolverhampton Workhouse.
