In the Liverpool Couuty Court a maid sued hor mistress for wages in lieu of notice. Plaintiff was dismissed because she disclosed too much of her neck. The girl said she was clearing away the breakfast things, and, it being hot weather, her dress was loose at the throat. To this her mistress objected, and required her to fast&l the garment. Plaintiff complied to the extent of fastening one button, but declined to do more. The mistress, in answer to the Judge, said the girl's dress might not have been mOre'open than a lady's evening dress. Judgment was given in favor of the mistress.
