Press Association—By Telegraph—CopyrightNEW YORK, January 18. • (Received January 19, at 8.52 a.m.) The Venezuela asphalt concessionaries are trying to oust American concessionaries, and are utilising the revolutionary movement for that purpose. The Venezuelans seized two British steamers which were sailing under the Venezuelan flag in order to convey troops against the rebels. America has despatched the first class battleship Kearsage, and Great Britain has sent H.M.S. Scorpion.
