MAGISTJUTFS COUNT. (Before E. H. Carew, Esn., 8.M.) M. Joel v. C. E. Anthony.—Claim, £2l 2s 9d, on a judgment summons. Mr Calvert appeared for plaintiff.—The judgment was, by consent, varied so as to be payable by monthly instalments of 50s each. 11. Eldridge v. H. MTlroy.—Claim, £1 0-s 6cl, on a judgment summons. Mr Moore appeared for plaintiff.—Defendant, who did not appear, was ordered to pay the above amount, with 5s costs, by June 4, in default forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. Judgment was given for plaintiffs for the amounts claimed with costs in the following undefended, cases ;—William Strachan, Limited (for whom Mr W. C. MacGregor appeared) v. M. Mathsson (Havelock), claim £1 15s, for goods supplied* (costs £2 15s); Massey-Harm Company, Limited (for whom Mr J. Cook appeared) v. William Miller (Mandoville), claim £ls 5s 7d, on a dishonored promissory note (costs £1 19s 6d) ; same v. Arthur Willcock (St. Andrews), claim, £l6 10s, on a dishonored promissory note (costs £2 0s 6d) ; Otago Public Service Club (for whom Mr Irwin appeared) v. James Hall (Wellington), claim £4 7s, for two years’ subscriptions duo and 152 games of billiards (costs 6s) ; R. Mercer (for whom Mr Moore appeared) v. Martin Scott, claim £1 17s, balance due on an account (costs 10s) ; Laidlaw and.Gray (for whom Mr Moore appeared) v. J. 11. Bell and Co. (Orepuki). claim £46 2s 6d, on two dishonored promissory notes (costs £5 6s) ; Henry Eldrid -e (for whom Mr Moore appeared) v.’john Watt (Pahiatun), claim £5 10s, on a dishonored promissory note (costs 10s); Watson and Logie v. Owen M'Corntack. claim £4 6s 4d, for goods supplied (costs 6s); Thomson, Bridget 1 , and Co. (for whom Sir Moore appeared) v. Charles Crams (Westport), claim £26 3s lOd, for goods supplied (costs, £3 Is).
