SALVATIONISTS IN BAD ODOR.
AUCKLAND, May 28. There was a great demonstration at Waihi on Saturday night to mark disappro-' bation of the Salvation Army’s refusal to' hoist the flag at the local barraoks on tbs relief of Mafeking. Rotten c-ggs were thrown. The captain was hooted, and as ho could not get a heariog he sheltered himself in the barracks. The crowd made a demonstration outside. It is stated that contributions to the Army are being refused for the same reason.
