By the destruction by fire of a stable at Kiugsland, Auckland, belonging to Mr A. W. Page, grocer, three horses (uninsured) were burned to death. The Minister of Mines told a depotation at Soddonviile that he does not favor Stite ownership of mines unless the principle be applied to all mines in the colony.
