MINING NOTES.

The Hartley and Riley report a retup.i of 390z lld'.vt for the week ended to-day. A meeting of shareholders of the Inchdale Uold Dredgins Company will be held on the evening of the 2ird inst to elect director", etc.

The directors of the Rig Flat Dredging Company, Waipori, who were elected to office at the statutory meeting held on the 25th January last, have accepted tenders for the whole of the dredge plant, through their consulting engineer, Mr Leslie H. Reynolds. The work is to be pushed on and completed in nine or ten months. A Robey engine and boiler have also been ordered. The following have been eleeted directors of the Royal Sovereign Gold Dredging CompanyMessrs Hancock, Aitken, Keliher, M'Dowell and Captain Sundstrom. IMPORTS AND EXPORTS.

The imports into the colony during December quarter amounted in value ti £2.400,460, including i.117,515 of specie, as against £2,18?,40« for the corresponding quarter of 189 S. For the year 1899 the total was against .£8,230,600 for the previous year.
