SHOOTING.
At a meeting of officers recently held in the Harrison Hall it was proposed, in order to try and revive the interest in the Otago Rifle Association, to arrange for a meeting to tr.ko place on the 23rd March next (Anniversary Day), the- shooting to bo limited to members of volunteer corps.
The sum of £1,334 15s was paid away in stakes in connection with the late D J C. summer moetbg. The principal winning ownerß were: Ellis Brothers £4OB 10j, 8. Salomon £209, M. Hobbs £199 10«. H. Beatty £l7l, J. R. M'Kensn £123 10», K. L'.viDg9tone £lO4 103, J. M 'Kewen £76.
