MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
The weekly meeting of Pioneer of DunedinJ Lodge, 1.0.G.T.. was held on Tuesday even-**] ing, in the Lower Choral Hall, Bro. Donald I Cameron, P.C.T., presiding. Three candidates were initiated. It was decided to con- j tinue the popular monthly concerts, beginning in the second week of May. A Sisters' Committee was appointed to superintend the ,*; pound night" next Tiiesday, when Lily of the Valley and Hope of Caversham Lodges are invited, and several representatives returning from G.L. session are expected to be present. Bros. Bishop (Lyttelton), A. Spence (Invercargill) Burgess (Waikiwi), and G. Slater (Brisbane) were present, and conveyed fraternal greetings from their respective lodges. Harmony was contributed by Bro. W. Himmel (piano solo), Bro. Burgess (recitation), Bros. Stubbs, Sis. Austin, Bro. Campbell (songs). The customary vote of thanks being duly replied to, a successful gathering was closed with the usual ceremonies by P.C.T.
