A sale of thoroughbred stook was held at Ghristchuroh on Wednesday. On account of Mr E. Gates, of Ashburtou, Lady Zetland, in foal to Pheethon, was sold to Mrs J. Oarter, of Tinwald, for 280gsj and Catherine Wheel, in foal to the same stallion, to Sir George Clifford, for lOOgs. Of the Yaldhurst lot submitted, Conqueror was secured a great bargain bv Mr J. Grigg, of Longbeach, at 55gs. For Nantes Mr C. Dalgety gave 135g», and the imported colt Benzoic was knocked down to Mr M. Lagan, of Tinwald, at 130gc. Sir George Clifford's Fireside went to the bid of Mr MurrayAynsley at the same figure. Mr Brett's Nihilist was pissed in at 70gs. An' Auckland telegram says: ''The Weather promises to be fine for the eonoltd" jng day's raoing of the A R.C. autunt meeting to morrow; Douglas and Bh ttlcajre are the fanoies for the St. Georgia Handicap." ,
