“ Regular Subscriber.**— The total attendance at the Dunedin Exhibition of 1889-90 was 399,673. The highest daily attendance was On the dosing day (April 19), when 18,434 (of whom 13,683 paid Cor admission) passed through the turnstiles; the second highest opening day (November 26), when 17,621 (8,831 paid) were admitted; and the next highest was on the occasion of the friendly societies’ demonstration (March 6) When 15,010 (12,238 paid) passed through; on Easter Monday (April 8) 12,529 (9,783 paid) and on. New Year’s Day 12,462 (10,347 paid) were admitted. The attendance at the met Colonial Exhibition (Dunedin, 1866) was 2,893, at the second (Christchurch, 1882) 226,|60, .and at the third (Wellington, 1885) Wager.’’— The Duke of Portland paid 13,000gs for Carbine.
