Mails dose at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin
(subject to any necessary alterations), as under '.— Overland, North, daily, 10.20 a.m. Late letters. 10.45; also on tha mail van up to 11 ft.m. Books and newspapers, 10 a.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage—ld for inland letters, 2d for letters for Australia and the South Sea Islands, and 2id for all other places. Thursday, February 9. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies (except Tasmania).—Per Monowai, at 2 p.m.
Friday, February 10. For Lyttelton and Christchurch. Per Flora, at 2 p.m.

Wednesday, February 15. For Northern Ports, Samoa, Sandwich Islar>c*p, United States of America, Canada, South America, Wert Indie?, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europ?, at 10 a.m. Money orders at 4 p.m. on the 14th; book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. on the 15th. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, the 14th. The above mail will close at the branch Post Offices, North Dunedin and South Dunedin—for money orders and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 14th : letters at 9.30 a.m., and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 15th. At the Port Chalmers Office at 8.45 a.m. on the 15th ; money orders at 4 p.ro. and registered letters at 6 p.m. on the 14th. The above mail will be duo in London on 19th April.
On and after Tuesday, 31st January, mails for Hamilton South and Patearoa will closest 6 a.m. Tuesday and Saturday, and for Linburn and Serpentine 6 a.m. on Saturdays. Fiom this date a mail will be despatched and received from Ranfurly daily. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per Hauroto, will close at Auckland on the Bth February, at 4 p.m. The Damascus leaves Melbourne for South Africa on the Bth February.
